Murphs Rugby Football Club (MRFC) is proud to bring the fastest-growing sport in the United States to Greenville, Texas, and the surrounding areas. We are dedicated to building a strong, inclusive rugby community focused on teamwork, respect, and character development.
Our High School Tackle Rugby program offers a truly competitive and developmental experience, preparing young athletes for success both on and off the field. This is full-contact, competitive rugby focused on advanced skills, game strategy, and physical fitness. Playing high school rugby is an excellent way to prepare for collegiate and club rugby while developing lifelong leadership and teamwork skills.
| Division | Who | Program Focus & Structure |
| Boys High School Tackle | Grades 9–12, Boys | Full competitive rugby, emphasizing advanced set pieces (scrum, lineout), defensive strategy, and high-level fitness. |
| Girls High School Tackle | Grades 9–12, Girls | Dedicated competitive program (currently growing!) focused on core skills, strategic play, and building a strong team culture. |
We are actively building our programs for the upcoming season. While the following details are estimated, we encourage you to follow our website for immediate updates. We will start Devolpment in Spring of 2026 to compete in Spring 2027. We will have exhibition matches leading up to our 1st inaugural Season 2027
Rugby is a contact sport, but player safety is our highest priority. MRFC adheres to all USA Rugby and World Rugby player welfare policies.
We believe that financial circumstances should never prevent a child from participating in the game.
MRFC is committed to building a complete rugby pathway in the Greenville area. While our current focus is launching the competitive High School program, we have exciting plans for the following:
Are you passionate about growing rugby beyond the High School level? If you are interested in coaching, playing, or volunteering for our Youth, Adult, or Adaptive Programs, please inquire on our website's contact page! Your enthusiasm helps us launch these programs sooner.
